A Chance To Love Ch. 16

Kaia rolled out of bed as loud buzzing sound of the alarm clock reverberated off the walls of the small apartment. She rubbed her eyes and looked at the clock as it blinked 7:01 a.m. She reached over and shut it off, slapping the buttons as Chance let out a groan. He peeled his eyes open, blinking against the early morning sun streaming into the window and looked over at Kaia who still sat on the edge of the bed, raking her fingers through her tangled hair.

“Morning, doll,” he croaked in a scratchy morning voice as he closed the gap between them and planted a kiss at the small of her back. Kaia giggled as tingles raced up her spine.

“Good morning, gorgeous.” Kaia smiled as she reached around her back and caressed his hair. “Ready for a busy day?”

“As long as you’re ready for a morning delight,” he chuckled as he pulled her back down.

“I’m always ready for that,” she purred as his hand snaked into the juncture of her thighs, gasping as his thumb grazed her pleasure core, “but I must call work first.”

“So call, hon, you won’t disturb me any.” Chance cocked his eyebrows suggestively and handed her the phone. He pressed her flat and eased open her legs, eyeing her sable muff concealing the pleasure nubbin within. His tongue traced a few hairs and dug inward, eliciting a moan from her.

“Chance!” Kaia moaned as she clutched the phone.

“Better make that call, sweets because I can’t wait much longer!” he advised with a twinkle in his eye.

She saluted him in amusement and quickly dialed the number. It rang two times before Lenore answered.

“SofGraphix Software, Lenore speaking. How may I direct your call?”

“Good morning, Lenore. I need to speak…” Kaia sucked in a deep breathe as she tried not to moan as Chance’s tongue grazed her dripping wet core. “I need to speak to Maris…Marisol.”

“Kaia, are you alright?”

“Yesssssssss!!” she groaned as Chance began to nibble lightly at her ultra-sensitive nubbin.

“One moment, please!” Lenore chuckled.

“Chance, stop it!!” Kaia squealed as she tried to push him away. His only reply was a sucking noise and a teasing lick.

“Hello, Marisol speaking.”

Kaia gingerly smacked Chance on his hand before she found her voice.

“Marisol, this is Kaia.”

“Good morning, Kaia.”

“I need to take a personal day today.”

“What for? Is anything wrong?” Her brusque voice tinged with blatant attitude towards Kaia.

“Yeah, I have to find a new place to live. My friend Morgan’s boyfriend kicked me out of their house because I refused to meet a friend of his. It was really petty. I only need today. I have to move some furniture out of the house.” Kaia explained, sucking in a gasp as Chance’s teeth grazed her tender womanhood.

“Sure, Kaia, that’s fine. Thanks for letting us know.” Marisol replied in a less than happy tone, “Will you need tomorrow?”

“No, today should do it.”

“Do you have a place to live?”

“Yes, I do.” Kaia replied, as she bit her lip against moaning as Chance’s tongue invaded her nether core.

“Good. Have a good day and we’ll see you tomorrow.” Marisol added.

“Bye, Marisol. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome, Kaia. Bye.”

Kaia hung up the phone and let out a loud squeal she’d been withholding as Chance dived his tongue back into her nether depths. Her fingers dug into his hair and pushed his greedy mouth down against her. She let out a loud scream as her loins erupted in orgasmic bliss. On the heels of that stunning climax, he rose up and joined their bodies, sliding his turgid erection deep within her blistering hot core. He pumped frantically, driven by fierce need, giving her all he had to give as their lips locked with incredible passion. He took her, sent her soaring higher and higher until they reached the crest, teetered on the edge, and plunged headlong into the ultimate culmination of their passions. He laid his head against her slick breasts, his hips still grinding himself into her. She let out a great moan as satiation flooded her soul. He cradled her in his loving arms as he listened to her heart beating…beating in time with his.

“Oh, Kaia,” he sighed as he nuzzled her, exulting in the feel of her body next to his. His hands swept over her.

“Let’s go shower,” she whispered as she nibbled his ear.

Kaia’s legs felt wobbly as they slid out of bed and headed for the bathroom where they showered together, taking delight in sudsing each other’s bodies. Kaia glanced over him lingeringly. He reminded her of a pagan god as he stood there under the flow of cascading water. It ran down his body in streaming rivulets, contouring to and sliding over the hardened muscles of his spectacular form. Her hands followed the path the water had flowed. She caressed him lovingly.

“Having fun, doll?” Chance chuckled.

“Very much,” she purred as hands skirted his thighs, fanning out as they swept back up to his rock hard abs. “I want abs like these,” she commented as he let out a groan.

“You’ll have to work out with me and I’ll help you get abs like mine,” he replied as he turned around and shut the water off.

Kaia’s hands cupped his tight compact buttocks and he shimmied them teasingly. “Sexy man!”

He turned back around, “You’re even sexier, hon. Now let’s get out before we turn into wrinkled raisins.”

Chance climbed out and grabbed a couple towels for them. As she stepped out, he wrapped her up in the fluffy softness of the oversized beach towel. Soon after they had dried themselves off, Kaia sat Chance down and began to comb out the wet tendrils of his waist length hair. She delighted in the simple act.

“I can’t ever remember having a woman brush my hair, except my mom,” he commented.

“Really?”

“Yeah, no one I’ve ever been with ever brushed my hair. I enjoy this. You could spoil me doing this,” he said.

“Good. I’m glad I’m the only one who has ever done this for you.” Kaia said as she gave him a huge smile.

“As am I.”

“Get used to it!”

“I will, dollface,” he smiled back at her.

“Should we call and rent that moving truck this morning?” Kaia asked, as she ran the brush down through his semi dry locks once again.

“Will Michael or Morgan be home this morning?”

“Unfortunately, Michael will. He works like 12-8:30.”

“We’ll get your stuff and ignore him. I’ll ask Christian and Matt to help us. I know Alex was taking Shalee to Mt. Charleston to ski and Brent’s working, but I’m sure Christian and Matt will help.”

“Good because I have a feeling we’ll need it,” she offered. “I had some nasty words to say to him last night so I expect him to be less than gracious.”

“You just leave that punk to me, doll.” Chance replied wryly.

Once she had finished combing his hair, they quickly dressed and made the call to rent the U-Haul. Chance’s next call was to Christian.

“Hello,” croaked a passion filled voice.

“Hey, bro.”

Christian groaned. “What are you doing up so early? It’s not even 9 yet!”

“I’ve got to get Kaia moved and I need some help. You up for it?” Chance asked.

“Kaia? Moved? Where? Why?”

“Her roommate gave her the boot last night and told her to get out. Long story. I’ll tell you later. She’s moving in with me and she has furniture in that house that she needs to put in storage so I need help.” Chance replied.

“Okay, bud. I’ll be over. Anyone else helping?”

“I have to call Matt next. He’ll help. Alex and Shalee are going to Mt. Charleston and your brother is working.”

“You’ll have to page Matt. He hooked up with some hoochie stripper last night and was heading home with her. I’ll see ya in a few. You owe me, bro,” he guffawed.

“What for? I’ve helped your ass move plenty of times.”

“Not while you were trying to get some nookie.” Christian shot back.

Chance laughed, “Dude, I already got some this morning. So tell Jacinda I’m sorry and get over here. You can tag her later.”

“You tell her that. I think she may murderize your ass. I guess I’ll see you in a few,” he replied, groaning as he hung up the phone. Chance chuckled and paged Matt.

A few minutes later, the telephone rang and Chance snatched it up.

“Hello.”

“What up, bro?”

“I need you to help me get Kaia’s furniture out of where she was living. Her roommate kicked her out so I told her she could live with me and I need help.” Chance explained.

“Sure, I’ll help.”

“Cool. Meet us at my place.”

“Who else is helping?”

“Christian. I interrupted him getting some.”

“He’s not the only one you interrupted, but I figured it had to be important if you were paging my ass this early in the morning!!” Matt guffawed.

“Yep because I normally ain’t out of bed this time of the morning.”

“Say, can I bring Madaysa with me?” Matt asked.

“Sure can. Give Kaia a female to talk to. Is she the stripper Christian told me about?”

“The one and only.” Matt replied.

“Sure, bring her. Like I said, her and Kaia can talk while we take care of the heavy stuff.”

“Great. See ya in a few, bro.” Matt replied.

“In a few.” Chance echoed.

Chance set the phone back on its base and headed to the kitchen. He cuddled up to Kaia who stood at the stove whipping up French toast.

“Thought we’d have breakfast while we waited for them.”

“Yes, we should eat, but I can do this, though.”

“No, I started it, Chance. I’m a good cook and plus I live here now,” she pointed out.

He chuckled and nipped her ear. “I’m very happy to have you here.”

“I’m happy to be here.”

Forty-five minutes later, Christian, Matt and Madaysa showed up in Christian’s car and the five friends readied to leave to go to the U-Haul rental service place. Chance drove his truck followed by Christian.

Chance rented the U-Haul trunk and soon he drove the lumbering vehicle into the driveway of Michael’s house followed my Kaia and Christian who parked in front of the garage. Kaia bit her lip as she headed for the front door and rang the doorbell. To her surprise, Morgan answered.

“Hey, girl!” Kaia exclaimed. “What are you doing home?”

“I’m sick,” she replied. “I woke up vomiting this morning and my monthly enemy is late. I hope to God I’m not pregnant!”

Kaia cringed, feeling the desperation in Morgan’s voice. “No doubt, girl. I wouldn’t want to have his kid if someone paid me all the money in the world.”

“I’m beginning to have that feeling!!” Morgan agreed. “Come in!”

“Morgan!” Michael called out as he walked toward her. “Who are you talking to? Who’s here?”

“I’ve come to get my furniture.” Kaia spoke up.

“Good.” Michael snorted. “How are you going to move it yourself or did you bring your pretty boy?”

“Kaia brought her pretty boy and two of my friends.” Chance growled, as he appeared in the doorway behind Kaia, looming ominously, a look of pure hate frozen on his face like a hard shell mask. Christian and Matt stepped on either side of him.

“Get her shit out of here then get the hell out of my house.” Michael bit back as he yanked Morgan’s arm, pulling her away.

“Stop it, Mike. You’re hurting me,” she squealed and immediately Chance stepped between them.

“Don’t do that to her. You have no right, no reason to mistreat her,” he spoke in a low, menacing voice.

“Shove off. It’s none of your business.” Michael growled in return as hot hateful daggers shot out of his eyes toward Chance. “Morgan, go to our room…NOW!!”

Morgan shot a helpless glance between Chance and Michael and did as she was told.

“Don’t stick your nose where it doesn’t belong.” Michael warned. “Get Kaia’s shit out of my house pronto!”

“Jackass!” Chance retorted.

Michael spun on his heel and leveled a malevolent glare at Chance who returned one of his own. The stare-down lasted only seconds yet seemed to go on for an eternity.

“Let’s just get my furniture, Chance so I never have to see that waste of human life ever again. We have better things to do than fight with him. He ain’t worth it.”

Chance turned his eyes on her, his hard expression softening. “Sure, sweetie. You just tell us what to move and we’ll get it done,” he smiled.

“Well, the hunter green recliner goes, and everything in my bedroom.” Kaia said, as she looked around the house that had been her home for the past four months.

“Don’t forget your curio cabinet, Kaia.” Morgan spoke up as she walked back out into the great room. “And your dishes.”

“I did forget about those!” Kaia lightly smacked her own forehead as she laughed. “I’ll need boxes!”

“They are in the basement.” Morgan said. “We can bring them up and get started.”

“Excellent!! Oh, Morgan, this is Madaysa, Matt’s girlfriend.” Kaia introduced them. “The guy in the blue is Matt and the one in black is Christian.”

“Nice to meet you all.” Morgan said as she smiled.

As Chance, Matt, and Christian carried out her furniture, Kaia, Madaysa, and Morgan packed up her dishes, chatting quietly amongst themselves. After packing the dishes and loading it onto the moving truck, Kaia looked around the house for anything she may have missed, but found nothing.

She hugged Morgan one last time and called a nearby Chevrolet dealership to tow away her car to be fixed. Shortly the tow truck arrived and Kaia gave Chance the key and address to the storage unit, saying she’d meet him back at the apartment. She hopped into Chance’s truck along with Madaysa and followed the tow truck to the dealership.

Over an hour later, Kaia and Madaysa returned to Chance’s apartment after an exasperating stop at SofGraphix to pick up the game program she’d been debugging the day before. As she strolled through the hallway to her office, chatting amiably with Madaysa, Tyler popped out of an office across the hall from hers.

“Thought you weren’t coming in today,” he spoke up, raking his eyes lasciviously over both Kaia and Madaysa.

“I have to clean up your mess, Tyler,” she retorted.

“Ooh, feisty!” Tyler quipped, “I like a woman like that.”

“Give it up, Tyler. It ain’t never gonna happen!” Kaia shot back.

“Never say never sweet Kaia. Who’s your friend?”

“My name is Madaysa and I’d listen to her if I were you. She’s living with Chance now.”

His eyes slowly raked over Madaysa once more, widening in recognition. “Honey, I’ve seen you before and truthfully, you look better with your clothes off. You’re Mercedes at Cheetah’s, right? Kaia, I’m surprised you’d hang out with such trash.”

“Yes, I’m a dancer. You’re one to talk about being trash. You were thrown out of Cheetah’s for harassing the girls and told never to come back. I have a man. He’s Chance’s best friend.”

“I may not have a Mercedes, but I drive a Corvette that I can ride you around in it, honey. It’s the red one outside.” Tyler bragged, sidling up to Madaysa.

“You’ll never have this Mercedes either,” she retorted as she moved away from him, a look of utter disgust on her face.

“I never knew you bimbos were so picky,” he growled.

Madaysa slapped him in the face, her eyes bright with anger. “I am not a bimbo just because I dance. I have a college education. I’m not interested in you. I have a boyfriend. So doesn’t Kaia so get it through your thick skull.”

A throat cleared loudly behind them. “Tyler, get back to work!” Marisol demanded. “Leave Kaia alone!”

He whipped around quickly, staring at her with a gaping mouth. “How long have you been standing there?” he stammered, knowing he’d been busted.

“I heard it all, Tyler. Leave Kaia and her friend alone. Get back to work.” Marisol reprimanded him. “I’ll deal with you in a little while. Go, now!”

Tyler tucked his tail between his legs like a whipped puppy and headed for the office he shared with three other programmers, cursing vehemently.

Kaia stepped into her office along with Madaysa and allowed Marisol to follow. Kaia shut the door and walked into her computer. “Did you get your furniture moved?” Marisol asked.

“Yes, we did. Chance and two of his friends plus Madaysa here helped and we got it all done. I thought I’d pick up this work to do at home.” Kaia replied. “That way you’ll get some work out of me today.”

“I wasn’t worried about getting work out of you, Kaia. I know you’ll do it and do it right the first time.” Marisol smiled.

“I know that.”

“Where are you living?” Marisol asked, as her facial expression changed to one of concern.

“With Chance.”

“And you don’t think that’s rushing it. You haven’t known him all that long.”

“I know, but we feel it’s right. He’s the one. We both know it. I mean, why should I rent a place of my own when I’ll never be there?”

“What about having time for yourself? Your own space?” Marisol asked. “I’m not trying to lecture you, but there are things you should consider.”

“I know there are and we have talked about and considered these issues, but we still believe this is best for us.” Kaia replied.

“Good. I just want you to be happy, Kaia. You’re a sweet person and a wonderful employee. You keep up the good work and there might be a big promotion in your future.”

“Thank you for your concern, Marisol. I’m glad to have a great boss and a great friend like you who cares.”

“You tell me if Tyler bothers you again.”

“I will.”

“Have a good day, Kaia.”

“Will do.”

Marisol left the room, leaving Kaia to download the program onto a zip drive disk. Madaysa looked around.

“What kind of work do you do here?”

“We’re a computer software company. I do programming.”

“Wow, I studied to be a computer tech in college. I went to UNLV, but I couldn’t find a job that pays as well as dancing does so I kept dancing.”

“We’re always hiring new people. You should submit a resume and I’ll talk to Marisol.”

“Would you? I tell you though. I can normally make about $500 a night in tips and I work five nights a week. Sometimes 6-7 nights a week so you see it’s hard to make that kind a money in a 9-5 job.”

“I’d say.”

“Of course, my boss takes his cut.”

Kaia laughed, “Don’t they always?”

“Yeah.”

Kaia finished what she was doing, watered her roses and left her office, locking it on the way out. When she drove the truck back into the parking lot of Chance’s apartment complex, she noticed that Chance, Matt and Christian were playing basketball, despite the chilly 40 degrees weather. Kaia and Madaysa walked over to greet them, whistling and hollering at their guys. Chance smiled as he caught sight of Kaia and slam-dunked the ball, swinging from the hoop.

He jumped down with a loud whoop. “Who da man? Who da man!” he shouted as he high-fived Matt.

Kaia approached him and planted a congratulatory kiss on Chance’s lips. “You are,” she purred.

“You know it, baby,” he chuckled.

“Who won?”

“You’re looking at him, sweetheart, but this game isn’t over by a long shot!” Chance replied.

“We just don’t have time right now. Christian and I have to work later.” Matt added.

“Yeah, it if weren’t for work, I’d take that boy to school and show him the game is really played,” Christian guffawed.

“Just who you callin’ boy!” Chance quipped. “I think you need to eat your Wheaties.”

“Hey, who was on the basketball team, huh?” Christian shot back. “I was.”

“Yeah, but that was high school. You still need to eat your Wheaties.” Chance laughed as Christian and Matt joined in.

“I know you work with Chance, but what about you, Christian?”

“I’m a dealer at a casino,” he replied. “I go in at 6 tonight.”

“Really? What a cool job. What do you deal?”

“Mostly Blackjack, but when needed I can run the Roulette and Craps tables, too.”

“Wow!”

“It has its moments!” Christian said, dryly.

“I’m sure it does.” Kaia replied, bubbly as ever.

“Let’s go in, doll.” Chance spoke up, wrapping an arm around her waist.

“I think we’ll take off, bud.” Christian said, as he leveled an ornery glare at Chance. “I think I’ll see if Jacinda wants to pick up where we left off earlier.”

Chance, Christian and Matt guffawed together loudly. “You go, bro.” Matt chucked, then pulled Madaysa close to him. “How about you, baby? You feel like taking a wild ride?”
